The starting point for this performance is the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima. Creative storyteller Tom Begeault leaves the tragedy to one side and focuses instead on the origin story of the bomb, Little Boy. Putting himself in the shoes of a mad scientist who constantly pushes boundaries, he hoists himself up into the ropes as his performance goes further and further off the rails… With a simple set-up, this young maker manages to create a whole new world that is not only absurd, but also absurdly funny.
Keep an Eye on these talents! At Festival Circolo you can meet the leading artists of tomorrow. The Keep an Eye Circus and Performance Award gives three graduating students the opportunity to produce their own show immediately after graduation. Festival Circolo nurtures these up-and-coming talents with coaching, continuing development, and outside input on elements such as costume design or direction. During Festival Circolo 2022, we present the fruits of this collaboration. Drop in on a Keep an Eye performance and be surprised by a fresh generation of innovators with a unique view on circus!
The Keep an Eye Foundation looks out for young, promising talents. These talented musicians, artists, photographers, cabaret artists, circus performers, designers and filmmakers are given the opportunity to develop their talent, create new opportunities and, above all, achieve their creative dreams through various scholarships, awards, shows and festivals. Keep an Eye also strives for exchange between the various disciplines and training programs. This is to see the students’ work in a different perspective.
“Funny, daring and absurd.”
