Cultural network<\/h1>\n

Local<\/h2>\n

Tilburg is the city of Festival Circolo. Here, we work closely with Fontys Circus and Performance Art<\/a> to support new talent. Festival Circolo also participates in the Makershuis Tilburg<\/a>. Together with Dans Brabant<\/a>, Het Zuidelijk Toneel<\/a>, Schouwburg Concertzaal Tilburg<\/a> and Theater De Nieuwe Vorst,<\/a> new talent is picked up and supported in their first steps into the professional field.<\/p>\n

Provincial<\/h2>\n

Festival Circolo is partner of PLAN<\/a> for talent development Brabant. PLAN offers the newest generation of circus, theatre and dance makers opportunities to develop and present new work.<\/p>\n

Several festivals in Brabant work together in the area of marketing and data analysis. They are supported by Kunstloc Brabant<\/a>.
\nFestival Circolo is a member of De Kunst van Brabant<\/a>, the interest group of artists and cultural institutions in the province.<\/p>\n

National<\/h2>\n

Festival Circolo is one of the initiators of the platform CircusPunt<\/a>. In it, circus organisations and artists have been working together since 2019 to strengthen the position of circus in general. Festival Circolo is one of the places where the Dutch network comes together to exchange knowledge, to educate and to make plans. A network of 13 producing and presenting circus initiatives work together as the Circus Coalition to present new circus talent as Great Catch<\/a> in Dutch theatres.<\/p>\n

The two higher vocational circus schools in the Netherlands (Fontys Circus<\/a> in Tilburg and Codarts<\/a> in Rotterdam) are partners of Festival Circolo. For students, the festival offers a platform to present themselves but also to come into contact with professional colleagues and programmers.<\/p>\n

The importance of circus cannot be emphasised enough. Therefore, Circolo has joined an initiative of theVerenigde Podiumkunstenfestivals<\/a> to strengthen the national lobby for this sector. Of course, the organisation is also a member of Kunsten\u201992<\/a>.<\/p>\n

International<\/h2>\n

Circus is international. Many performances are brought from abroad and presented to a wide audience in the Netherlands. It is therefore important to maintain good relations with colleagues elsewhere in Europe and beyond.<\/p>\n

Circolo is a member of Circostrada<\/a>, the network of European circus initiatives and CircusNext<\/a>, an international project to support young circus talent in Europe.<\/p>\n

Circolo participates in BETA Circus 3.0<\/a>; a European project on the connection between circus and digital arts.<\/p>\n

Close and intimate relations exist with our Flemish neighbours: Circuscentrum Vlaanderen<\/a>, Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof Neerpelt<\/a>, MAD Festival<\/a> in Antwerp Miramiro <\/a>Gent, Cirkl<\/a> in Leuven and Festival PerplX<\/a> in Kortrijk.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”150″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
