At the end of our lives, we will all have to open ourselves to the hands of a stranger. When we can no longer stand on our own, we must have the courage to let others carry us. In Projet grand-mère, acrobats Alexandre Fray and Cathy Blisson take this starting point to shape a stunning investigation where the worlds of acrobatics and old age collide.
In each performance, the acrobats take turns meeting women old enough to be their grandmothers. In pairs, they explore the fragility of acrobatics, examine relationships of trust and dependence, and stubbornly push the boundaries of what the body can do. A unique performance that highlights the beauty of vulnerability and offers an inspiring perspective on the strength of old age.
