Festival Circolo: A meeting place for stories and flavors

This edition of Festival Circolo brings people closer together. Not just in the circus tent, but also at the long tables of our festival restaurant Bacchus. Here, visitors, artists, locals from diverse cultural backgrounds, and our crew gather for a meal centered around connection. Barriers fade away, and like at any communal table, an equal and shared experience unfolds. More than just a spectator, you become part of the circus family as you dine side by side with the performers you’ve just seen shine on stage.

At Festival Circolo, inclusivity is key. To ensure that everyone feels welcome, we’ve introduced several accessibility features this year. In collaboration with ‘Theater met Tolk’, we provide special services for the deaf and hard of hearing, including a sign language café and performances with audio descriptions. We’ve also partnered with ‘Toegankelijk Tilburg,’ to make our grounds even more accessible for all.

We celebrate cultural diversity by experimenting with flavors from all over the world. At our outdoor bar, you can enjoy a hand-warming cup of soup daily and freshly prepared by people from various cultural backgrounds, under the guidance of chefs from Linke Soep, Broodje Aap, and Het Ronde Tafelhuis. With soup freshly cooked on four different occasions, visitors can enjoy dishes that reflect the richness of these cultures throughout the festival. The soup is available to everyone: you pay what you can, ensuring that no one goes without.

Looking for something more substantial? Chef Hellen, alongside local Tilburgers, will prepare a
generous dinner buffet from 17:30 to 21:00. Bacchus will be more than just a place to eat—it will be a space where flavors and stories intertwine. Everyone is invited to grab a plate and take a seat at the long tables. Before the acrobats head off to their next adventure, you’ll have one more chance to connect over a shared meal.
