Masha is a groundbreaking performance that combines contemporary circus arts with profound reflections on human relationships. In a creative laboratory, two acrobats explore deep stories and emotions by moving on a one-by-eight-meter linoleum strip covered in oil.
The audience is taken into a world of comedic and uncomfortable stories as the duo struggles with the slippery surface. Through the repetition of movements, both the bodies of the performers and their environment transform. As it gets slipperier and the performers seem to have less grip, it becomes clear that we are all on thin ice, even with solid ground beneath our feet.
