The Ronaldo family takes you on a journey through 180 years of circus history in Da Capo, spanning seven generations. In a grand tale with stunning settings, bizarre creations, and the signature Ronaldo humor, you meet the entire family, from young Adolph who ran away with the circus at the age of 15 in 1842, to the present day, where the newest members take the stage. This adds up to a comprehensive and heartfelt love letter to the circus, family, and the power of wonder.
We have welcomed Circus Ronaldo to Festival Circolo many times, and each time, this Flemish circus collective makes our hearts race and our smiles broaden. Da Capo is an anthology of Ronaldo’s rich family history, told in a cinematic performance with beautiful music, humor, and spectacle. Expect to be dazzled by everything from a ballerina walking on bottle necks to breathtaking aerial acrobatics performed at high speed. But the true strength of Ronaldo lies in the human element; the vulnerability, the beauty, and the tragedy. With each dry joke, each marvelous idea, and each emotional chord they strike, they nestle deeper into our hearts.
