Upside Down is a playful performance inspired by the beloved picture book ‘Olifant Ondersteboven’ (Elephant Upside Down) by Jan De Kinder.
Wandering, searching, fleeting, dark, and humorous thoughts come to life on stage as a father and daughter explore the images that exist in each other’s minds. The drawings are traced on a moving body and projected. The drawing sets a trapeze acrobat in motion, and vice versa. Upside Down is a circus and drawing spectacle for children aged 6 and above, telling stories of sensitivity, vulnerability, and sadness in a unique way.
